1. What We Collect
When you create an account or purchase a ticket on showwupp, we collect:
- Name and email address
- Mobile money phone number (for payment processing only)
- Device and browser information for security purposes
- Event preferences derived from your browsing activity on the Platform
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Process ticket purchases and deliver your QR tickets via email
- Authenticate your account and maintain security
- Send event reminders and relevant platform notifications
- Improve our services through aggregated, anonymised analytics
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share minimal data with payment processors (Fapshi) solely to complete transactions. Event organisers receive the name and contact details you provide when purchasing a ticket for their event.
4. Data Retention
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@showwupp.com.
5. Cookies
showwupp uses essential cookies for authentication and language preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Contact support@showwupp.com to exercise these rights.
7. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Mobile-money credentials (PIN, account numbers, OTPs) are never seen or stored by showwupp — they are entered on Fapshi's secure payment screen. Authentication tokens are short-lived and rotated on every sign-in. Admin operations are gated behind a per-user permission flag and a double-factor (login + role check), and every destructive action is recorded in an audit log.
8. Payment & Payout Data
When you buy a ticket, we record the payment reference returned by Fapshi (a string), the amount, and which event it relates to. When you create a paid event, we record the MoMo number you nominate as your payout destination. Ticket revenue is held by showwupp for 24 hours after the event ends, then sent automatically to that number — we do not retain custody of organiser funds beyond the hold window. Refunds are returned to the same MoMo number used to pay.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
