Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using showwupp Events ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Use of the Platform

showwupp is a ticket reservation platform operating primarily in Cameroon. You may use the Platform to discover events, purchase tickets, and organise events. You must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent/guardian to use this service.

3. Ticket Purchases & Refund Policy

Tickets are non-refundable except in the cases set out below. By completing a purchase you acknowledge that you have reviewed the event details. We do issue refunds in two situations:

• (a) the event is cancelled by the organiser — every active ticket is refunded the full price plus the booking fee, sent to the MoMo number used to pay;
• (b) we identify a duplicate or unauthorised charge — the affected payment is reversed.

Outside these two cases, we do not refund tickets for change of mind, missed events, or buyer-side issues.

4. Payments

Payments are processed via Fapshi using MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money. showwupp charges a flat booking fee on each paid ticket to cover platform and payment-processing costs; this fee is shown before you confirm your purchase. The minimum price for a paid ticket is 500 FCFA.

5. Organiser Responsibilities

Event organisers are solely responsible for the accuracy of event information, the conduct of their events, and compliance with applicable Cameroonian law. showwupp is a platform intermediary and is not liable for the actions of event organisers.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Platform to: post false or misleading event information; resell tickets for fraudulent purposes; violate any applicable law; or engage in any activity that disrupts or harms the Platform or its users.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including design, text, logos, and code — is the property of showwupp Events. You may not reproduce or distribute it without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

showwupp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or attendance at an event. Our maximum liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for a specific ticket.

9. Payouts to Organisers

Ticket revenue is held by showwupp for 24 hours after the scheduled end of an event before being paid out, in full, to the organiser's declared MoMo number. The hold protects attendees against last-minute cancellations and gives time to flag fraudulent events. Failed disbursements are retried automatically; persistent failures are surfaced to the organiser via email.

10. Minimum Ticket Price

Paid tickets must be priced at 500 FCFA or above. Free tickets are unrestricted. This minimum exists because the per-ticket payment-processing cost makes amounts under 500 FCFA economically unworkable for both showwupp and the organiser.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
